The Infiorata in Via della Spiga – 3rd edition. 1-3 September 2023
From Friday 1 to Sunday 3 September, the people of Milan and visitors to the city will once again be able to enjoy the stunning open-air exhibition created by the Associazione Maestri Infioratori di Noto. This magnificent spectacle unfolds along a 100-metre stretch in the heart of the Quadrilatero district in Milan. More than 50 artists will offer the city their exquisite artistry, which has been handed down over the years since 1980, using over 200,000 flowers to create 10 canvases, each an inspiration and vision for Milan.
In just 72 hours, the asphalt along the Via della Spiga will undergo an amazing transformation, blossoming into a vast, resplendent canvas with over 200,000 flowers, including carnations, gerberas, and roses, in a harmonious commingling of tradition and progress.
Hines, a prominent player on the global real estate stage, helped develop Via della Spiga through the Spiga26 project, which ended in early 2022. It did so in collaboration with the Associazione Amici di Via della Spiga and with the patronage of the City of Milan and the Municipality of Noto. Hines promotes the Semina project, which aims to foster interaction between the urban fabric, governmental bodies, and the people of the city. Semina has become an eagerly awaited annual celebration of Milan, which never ceases to grow and flourish.
Innovation and evolution are the keywords that help Hines respond to and anticipate the needs of the community, while working in close synergy with public and private institutions. True to this philosophy and building upon the extraordinary success of previous editions, this year Semina has emerged from a collective effort involving companies operating in various sectors. Some of these – Acone Associati, Carron, Dils, ITA Airways, Linklaters and Savills SGR – are sponsors, while others – Drumohr and Il Baretto – are tenants of the Spiga 26 property. Foody Mercato Agroalimentare Milano – Mercato Fiori and Pastor Flowers are also taking part, and support is provided by the Istituto Comprensivo Milano-Spiga.
