The 4th Edition is an invitation to rediscover humanity through the art of flowers.
From Thursday 4 to Sunday 7 July, the people of Milan and visitors to the city will once again be able to admire the open-air display created by the Associazione Maestri Infioratori di Noto. This stunning spectacle unfolds along a 100-metre stretch in the heart of Milan.
More than 50 artists will offer the city their exquisite artistry, with a technique that has been handed down over the years since 1980. Using over 200,000 flowers, they will create 10 canvases with the works of Davide Bonazzi, each one an inspiration and vision for Milan.
“YOUMANITY” is the creative concept and the call to action that will inspire the 2024 edition: an invitation to rediscover, celebrate, and express our humanity – living authentically and responsibly, and contributing to our own well-being and to that of others and the planet.
The ten Youmanity floral canvases are an ode to the beauty of the human soul. They encourage us to be good to others without expecting anything in return. They inspire us to respect and tolerate diversity, to be honest and consistent, to use our creativity to enrich the lives of others, and to take care of both people and the
environment with integrity and a sense of responsibility. The theme will be brought to life in a visual journey by illustrator Davide Bonazzi, an Italian artist renowned for his ability to capture the union of humanity and talent. His distinctive style distils complex themes into brilliant visual metaphors of great narrative impact. A
whole world of meanings will blossom on tapestries made with over 200,000 flowers, weaving a vibrant mosaic that invites close reflections and comment. “Youmanity” embodies the essence of community, the embrace of mutual solidarity, and the understanding and kindness that defines our humanity.
