ITA AIRWAYS LANDS AT SPIGA 26:
the cultural hub expands its boundaries during Milan Design Week 2022
Spiga 26, the creative hub powered by Hines, opens its doors during Milan Design Week 2022 to welcome the debut of ITA Airways. From the 7th to 12th June, the Milan location becomes an expression of Italian style through immersive installations which describes the ITA Airways world. The experiential space reveals the new cabin design by Walter De Silva and the flight crew uniforms made in collaboration with Brunello Cucinelli: a celebration of Italian craftsmanship at the service of the national airline’s image makeover. ‘Made in Italy’ is sought out as an excellence in the ITA Airways world, which has also unveiled the new catering by Michelin-starred chef Enrico Bartolini.
The ITA Airways exhibition space at Spiga 26 is a stage to guide visitors through an imaginative journey and new itineraries. The temporary installations are sensory experiences that invite you to take off beyond the clouds, towards that intimate sky that is proper to each human being, through a path that unravels between three thematic areas: the curiosity for travelling, the actual experience of flying and the discovery of the place of destination. They present new intercontinental destinations from Rome to Los Angeles, Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo.
With the installation ‘Tutto il Cielo in una Stanza’, at Spiga 26, the ‘route of wonder, imagination and new horizons’ is celebrated: the sky is much more intimate than it appears, the future much more tangible, the destinations much closer. The engine of ITA Airways’ new Italian aircraft was built on a synergy of savoir-faire, innovation and inspiration. Spiga 26 welcomes illustrious representatives from the world of business and design who, through talks moderated by TG1 director Monica Maggioni and Vanity Fair – Conde Nast Editorial Director Simone Marchetti, will dialogue on the themes of regeneration, design and innovation, destinations: Walter De Silva, Brunello Cucinelli, Danilo Gallinari, Federico Ferrazza, Francesco Presicce, Enrico Bartolini, Javier Zanetti, Nima Benati and other guests will be present at the hub in Via della Spiga between 7th and 9th June.
The itinerary set up by ITA Airways leads into a dreamlike world and at the same time offers an authentic look at the customer experience of travel, completely renewed through a design at the service of wellbeing and sustainability: an experience that makes all travelers, ideal and real, Ulysses in search of new horizons.
